The children have spent the week taking part in various competitions earning points for their houses.
Here is the breakdown of the competitions;
Literacy-Persuasive piece on our local area (debate/leaflet/story etc)

Talacre Trip
Tue 27 Jun 2017Dosbarth Moel Siabod had a fantastic day at the beach (despite of the weather!) We had lots of fun building sandcastles and exploring the sand dunes. All of the children behaved fantastically. Da iawn pawb!

Parent Questionnaires 2017
Tue 20 Jun 2017Every other year we send out a questionnaire to all our parents/carers. We use an analysis of the results to help us improve our school.

Clwb Elwyddan host a "Cyw" app launch party
Wed 10 May 2017We had a fantastic moring launching the new Cyw app with Dosbarth Yr Aran (Reception). We made chick hats to represent the chick character (Cyw) and then we showed the reception children how to use the app.
The Cyw app helps develop the use of the Welsh language through fun games and songs.
The children all had lots of fun and have said they will try and download the fun app at home too with their parents!

National Tests - May 2017
Fri 17 Feb 2017In Wales children in years 2 to 9 now take national tests in reading and numeracy each summer. For 2017 the tests are scheduled for the week 3rd - 10th May. No term time leave will be authorised during this period. A leaflet explaining what the tests involve and what the results can tell parents about a child's learning have been produced . A copy of the leaflet has been upload and is available in the 'About Us, Key Information' section. A copy of the testing timetable for the week is available nearer the time.
