28th/29th April

This week the reception children have been thinking of ways to ask for help. They worked in partners, using the telephones to ask for help in different ways. They role -played different scenarios of when they would need help.
Nursery and reception listened to the story of Little Red Riding Hood and thought of different ways to help her when she got lost. Outdoors they made some very interesting trails for her to follow using a variety of objects.
Nursery focussed this week on using positional language to hide Little Red Riding Hood in different places. They also took part in an archaeological dig where they searched for dinosaurs, bones and fossils. They counted their objects so carefully.
On Friday reception children took part in a Roald Dahl take over day to celebrate the centenary of Roald Dahl. Throughout the day they experienced  a variety of workshops which included story telling, puppet/mask making and theatrical dance. A fantastic day! Thoroughly enjoyed by everyone!
