New School Year- New classes
It's all very exciting: we've been getting to know our new teachers and our new classrooms. As Dosbarth yr Aran we can use the Nursery, the Reception and the Challenge Zone! We can use all the outside areas and the hall for our activities. Our teachers can help us develop our skills in loads of exciting places! We even have a new stage outside. We are really looking forward to performing on there!
This week we've been getting to know everyone and trying out all the equipment in are main rooms, letting our teachers know what we like to do, and how we would like to use our foundation space. Lots of us love: construction toys and challenges, water and sand, creating things with different materials, investigation different materials like play-dough, and being outside. Our teachers want us to keep telling them what we like, and how we like to play.
Ms Jones told us our topic is Places Near and Far. We told her all about places we'd been over the summer and the different ways we had travelled. We are going to be doing lots of chatting about different places and interesting things to see and do, including lots of things close to home and in other parts of Wales. Ms Jones said our talks help her plan exciting activities for the rest of this half term.
We have started learning phonics with Jolly Phonics, you can find the songs on YouTube. We have started Talk for Writing with the book, Bizzy Bear, Happy Holiday and thought of actions for key words to help us remember the story.
Lots of photographs of us being busy have been taken by our new teachers, and we've been told many will be on the website, so each week we need to keep a look out for them.
Our teachers think we can going to make loads of progress and have a lot of fun learning new things.
